See your City through a different lens!
The Cultural Fabric of Philadelphia is really a "story-telling" project. The photos are more than pretty pictures. They're meant to make you more aware of our rich immigrant communities, their traditions and their values. Awareness can lead the way to understanding. And understanding can help people make more informed decisions about people, so that they are better able to welcome them to their neighborhood and their City.
Photography speaks, without words. When I discovered the photographic visual language, I saw that this language could inform, educate and move viewers without the need for a shared spoken language. A properly created photograph can capture the raw feeling of a moment and convey a strong message through its visual. A good photo can change behavior.
Since first picking up a camera in the early 1990’s, I have worked to build my skills at visual story-telling. While I’ve done many different types of photography, from commercial to weddings and portraits, I always find the greatest satisfaction in telling a photo story. I have found through my three-decade professional photography career that the most immediate way to grab a person’s attention is through a visual.
